ClearPair privacy policy

Updated 7 October 2026. This policy covers the consolidated ClearPair app and ClearPair H & F, L & R, English, Mandarin, Korean, Arabic Letters, Cantonese and Japanese, on iPhone/iPad, Android, macOS and the web. ClearPair is provided by LazyingArt.

Your recordings stay on your device

With your permission, the microphone records a short practice take. You can stop recording yourself; supported recording modes also detect the pause after speech. The app uses that audio locally for the waveform, recognition, pronunciation feedback, playback and recording history. ClearPair does not upload microphone recordings to an AI, transcription or pronunciation-scoring service.

Recordings, selected interface language, review progress and game stars are stored in app/browser storage on your device. They are not collected into a ClearPair account. Your operating system's backup or device-transfer settings may also apply. Export important takes before clearing data or uninstalling.

Reference voices and network requests

Reference pronunciation uses your installed device speech provider unless an approved clip is bundled. That provider may send the displayed reference text to its own network voice service, under its own terms and settings. ClearPair does not send your microphone take to that provider. Voice quality and offline availability depend on the device and installed voice.

The web version downloads app files from language-agent.lazying.art. Like other websites, its hosting infrastructure processes request details such as IP address, requested path and browser information for serving and securing the site. These requests do not contain your saved recordings or learning history.

No advertising or tracking SDK

These apps do not include advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking SDKs or social messaging. No separate ClearPair login is required. Buying an app or installing a beta is handled by Apple or Google under their privacy policies; ClearPair does not receive your payment-card details.

Course credits and purchase restoration

The Apple release candidate ClearPair 1.0.0 (2) has no credit wallet, in-app purchases or course-unlock payments. All eight courses are included. It does not send store ownership or purchase proofs to a ClearPair verification service. The following credit-related processing applies only to later wallet-enabled builds, not build 2.

When native credit billing is available in the consolidated app, the app sends its signed store license and purchase proof to ClearPair's verification service over HTTPS. The service processes an app-specific store identifier, purchase and refund status, credit grants and spending, and unlocked course identifiers. This is used only to verify purchases, prevent duplicate charges or credit grants, apply course-credit discounts and restore ownership. It does not include your recordings, transcripts or practice results. Store providers also process purchases under their own policies.

Balances are specific to ClearPair and to the Apple or Google store account used. They are not a shared LazyingArt balance. Encrypted purchase proofs and the credit ledger are retained while needed to operate and restore credit and course ownership, handle refunds and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact support about access or deletion; we explain any records that must be retained and any effect on restoration before proceeding. Apple internal TestFlight build 1.0.0 (4) has a sandbox-only wallet; sandbox transactions do not charge real money. All eight courses remain open in that beta. Retail credit billing is not launched.

You control sharing and deletion

Export opens your device's share/save interface only when you request it. If you choose a recipient or service, that destination receives the exported file under its own policy. Temporary native export files are cleaned up; the original history take remains until you delete it. Delete individual takes in History. Clear app/site storage to remove local history and progress. Microphone permission can be revoked in device/browser settings.

Support and educational limits

If you email support, we receive the message and attachments you choose to send and use them to answer your request. Do not send sensitive recordings unless you intend to share them. The app is an educational practice tool, not speech therapy or a medical/diagnostic assessment. Pronunciation scores are estimates from the available sound and recognition evidence, not certified examination results. A waveform or game star alone does not measure pronunciation accuracy.
